My dad asked me to tell you thank you for your speech. He lives with me 3 days out of the week, and anyone who spends that much time with me eventually stops eating animals. Needless to say, my Dad had been a vegetarian for quite some time, until we sat and watched your speech a few months ago. Halfway through your speech, he paused it, and stuck his hand out to shake mine, promising he'd never contribute to that horror ever again. He's ditched dairy and eggs and has been a hardcore vegan ever since.

I`m 18 from Slovenia. I first watched your speech on veganism about seven months ago and have been vegan ever since. Your video really opened my eyes. Now I`m trying to convince my family and everyone I know to become vegan. For my graduation, I have to do a research project on any topic I want and have decided to do it on our attitude/behavior towards animals. Are you willing to answer some questions, which I would use as part of the research? I will also do a survey with about 700 people and an "experiment" where I will go to a nursery school because I want to prove that we learn how to mistreat animals through socialization. I will have to present my work and my conclusions first at my school and - if it`s good - then also in front of the ministry of education, science and sport.

I was looking at my two greyhound girls whilst watching the slaughterhouse video and you know those tears that just run from your eyes when you’re not even thinking that you’re crying? I’m from Egypt. I saw one of your speeches yesterday and am inspired to do something! I have always been an animal lover and wanted to open a veterinarian center here in Egypt. I am a junior at Florida Gulf Coast University. My friend told me to watch your lecture after she told me she was going vegan. I am a huge lover of burgers, chicken, cheese, eggs, etc. but have never been thoroughly informed about the harmful effects it could have on my health, the earth's health, and most importantly, the animals’ lives. After watching your lecture, my eyes are open to the terrible and cruel things people do to animals just to make money. I always thought animal meat and animal byproducts were necessary for energy and proper growth, but as you described, this is a HUGE lie that has been ingrained in us since we were little. We don't need any of it; the meat, the milk, the eggs, the abuse. I want to thank you for your passion for animal equality and protection.
